| Do you make any of the beads? |
 |
I've tried making beads and discovered that I'm not
temperamentally suited to that activity. I'm more of a
hunter-gatherer - I like to go on bead
"safaris" or scouting missions to find uncommon
materials. |

| Do you sell any of your
beads? |
 |
Yes - when the mood strikes!
I currently have some loose beads and some boxed bead mixes for sale
at my studio. |
| How did you learn to make jewelry? |
 |
I'm self-taught; I also do all my
own graphic deisgn. I try to continually develop
my eye and aesthetic sensibility through traveling, photography
and other creative pursuits. |
| How long have you been a Beadist? |
 |
Since the fall of 2001. My, time flies! |
| Is your jewelry in any stores
besides your own? |
 |
I've been approached by gallery
owners but I prefer to keep the collection together and sell it
myself. Getting to know my customers and seeing them
respond to my creations gives me a great deal of
satisfaction. |
| How long does it take you to make a piece of
jewelry? |
 |
Sometimes years! Some of my necklaces only come
into being once I've gathered all of the right
materials. I spend many hours looking for unique beads,
collecting them and experimenting with designs.
Assembling a piece may take a few minutes or much
longer. |
| I lost an earring that I purchased from you; can you replace
it? |
 |
Bring or send me the surviving
earring and I'll see if I can make a match. If so, the
replacement cost will be half of what you originally paid for the
pair. This service is only available for regularly priced
earrings. |
| What happens if one of your bracelets or necklaces
breaks? |
 |
I construct my jewelry to
withstand all but the most strenuous adventures.
Still, on rare occasions something snaps. If
so, please bring or send me the piece and I will repair it (no
charge w/in 6 months of purchase); if I no longer have those beads I
will try to replicate the
design. |
